This geographic poetry collection includes poets' descriptions of every region of the United States.
Reading Rainbow's dynamic, fast-paced, magazine-style format amplifies kids' experiences by taking them to new places so they can experience people or activities they've not seen before. Colorful animation and fun music will entertain and reinforce these experiences. Popular personalities narrate the feature books in each episode while captivating illustrations appear on-screen. Capsule book reviews presented by students expand on the themes in the feature book, while "kid-on-the-street" interviews allow real kids to sound off about issues.

Mauna Loa: This poem by Robert Shields is about Hawaii and the great volcano, Mauna Loa.
Name All 50: Kids on the show name all 50 states in alphabetical order. Kids from different regions of the country demonstrate how the same item can be called by a variety of names.
Minnesota to Montana: Twins Michael and Daniel share about their home state of Minnesota. Discover the 6 time zones across America. A Feature book poem "New England Lighthouse" by Rebecca Kai Dotlich is shared. Finally, meet Erica as she shows us around her ranch in Montana.
New York to Washington: Visit Stephen in New York City and meet Ashley from the state of Washington.
Tennessee to Florida: A feature book poem "Knoxville, Tennessee" is shared. Then, meet Kathy as she shows us around Florida.
